This is S60

S60 is software in S60 phones that makes them more like small computers than conventional mobile phones. S60 handles basic phone functionality as well as advanced applications. Just as importantly, it provides the intuitive, full-color user interface that's both simple and good-looking. It also allows you to run several applications at the same time.
S60 software lets you download and use additional applications. Applications are designed by third-party developers and companies, and cover a wide range of needs and interests: gaming, email, browsing, business productivity, photography, health, city guides, dictionaries - you get the picture. In other words, your S60 phone is extensible - you can use it for a whole lot more than just calling, and you can choose from thousands of applications to tailor your phone to your needs.

S60 also has built-in personalization. Change your ringing tones or wallpaper, assign a picture or a ringing tone to a specific caller, or change the overall look and feel whenever you like.

And because your smartphone needs to connect to other devices for tasks like synchronization, data transfer, or uploading ringing tones, S60 offers many different ways to connect. Depending on the phone model design, you may be able to use infrared, Bluetooth, USB, or a network connection to exchange data.
S60 is feature-rich software for smartphones with advanced data capabilities. Based on the Symbian OS, it includes an application suite, user interface framework, and middleware components. The flexibility of S60 allows for a variety of hardware designs and software configurations.

S60 devices include built-in features varying from messaging and calendar to a wide variety of personalization options and advanced web browsing. See some of the S60 applications in action in the flash demo below.
